💧 Project Overview:

In partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), the Rotary Club of Ilocos Norte Central distributed and planted coconut seedlings at Barangay Calayab, Laoag City. This initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability by introducing coconut trees, which play a vital role in supporting biodiversity and long-term ecological balance. Special thanks to PCA for providing the seedlings and to Rtn. Wendell for handling the logistics of the project.

🌍 What We Achieved:

Through this initiative, RC Ilocos Norte Central successfully:

Distributed high-quality coconut seedlings to the community.
Led a tree-planting activity involving residents of Brgy. Calayab, fostering local participation and environmental stewardship.
Collaborated with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), ensuring expert guidance on the selection and distribution of seedlings.

This project aligns with Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus—Supporting the Environment. By planting coconut trees, we are contributing to reforestation efforts and encouraging a greener, healthier planet, while promoting sustainability in the community.
